Dr Shara Cohen
Founder
Dr Shara Cohen was a biomedical scientist and is an entrepreneur and scientific educator with a background in stem cell transplantation, immunology and cellular therapies.

During the emergence of cord blood transplantation as a clinical alternative to adult stem cell transplantation, she led pioneering research investigating the biological mechanisms that made cord blood a unique and effective source of stem cells.Â
Her work included collaborations with Professor Pablo Rubinstein and Professor Eliane Gluckman, helping establish cord blood transplantation as a viable clinical therapy.
Dr Cohen has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, scientific reviews and educational resources. Although her career subsequently moved into scientific publishing, healthcare communication and organisational leadership, she remains committed to advancing public understanding of regenerative medicine and supporting the translation of scientific knowledge into real-world patient benefit.
